Brook: Crowd will energise me

Kell Brook says he will draw on the energy from his home crowd when he takes on Gennady Golovkin at The O2 on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
The Sheffield fighter was given a small taste of the sort of reception he will receive when he enters the ring as he took part in a public workout at London’s Covent Garden on Tuesday afternoon.
Brook followed Golovkin, the unbeaten WBA Super, WBC and IBF world middleweight champion, into the temporary ring with cheers from the packed crowd ringing in his ears.
The 30-year-old went through his warm-up routine before taking part in a sparring-pad session with his trainer Dominic Ingle.
He produced a variety of shots and gradually upped the pace, drawing more cheers as he acknowledged the crowd from the ropes after one final flourish.
“These are my people, these are my fans,” he told Sky Sports News HQ.
