Chafin leads D-backs’ next group of reinforcements

LOS ANGELES — Left-handed reliever Andrew Chafin joined the D-backs at Dodger Stadium on Monday, but he will not be activated from the disabled list until Tuesday.
Chafin was placed on the disabled list July 4 with shoulder tendinitis and was nearing a return in mid-August before he injured his groin during one of his rehab appearances.
Two of Chafin’s teammates are also scheduled to be activated Tuesday — right-hander Rubby De La Rosa and catcher Chris Herrmann. Both have been with Triple-A Reno, whose season …
