DeGale: Speed is key for Kell

James DeGale insists Kell Brook’s swift hand speed could be the key to victory when he tries to topple the fearsome Gennady Golovkin.
IBF welterweight champion Brook is stepping up two weight divisions to challenge Golovkin, the world’s No 1 middleweight, at The O2 on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
Golovkin carries a daunting unbeaten record, featuring 32 stoppages in his 35 victories, while Brook is also yet to suffer a defeat in his 36 professional fights.
DeGale will be watching Golovkin-Brook with interest after being named as a possible future opponent for ‘GGG’, but the IBF super-middleweight champion believes his fellow Brit could ruin the Kazakh’s plans if he displays his searing speed and elusive footwork.
