Konta: I’m not a drama queen

Johanna Konta insists she is not an “actress or drama queen” after collapsing during her second round match with Tsvetana Pironkova at the US Open.
The British No 1 was leading the Bulgarian 6-2 5-6 when she fell to her knees and began breathing erratically due to the heat and humidity at Flushing Meadows in New York.
Konta was covered in ice bags and after a lengthy break the 25-year-old returned only to double-fault and lose the set, prompting a visit to the locker room.
She returned and took control with an early break before wrapping up the final set in 50 minutes to win 6-2 5-7 6-2.
