Welcome to DraftKings fantasy baseball, the Official Daily Fantasy Game of Major League Baseball.
The players listed below are in position to provide difference-making stats for DraftKings participants on Thursday.
Anthony Rizzo: The first baseman could add to his impressive 2016 totals of 26 homers and 93 RBIs across 479 at-bats when he brings his lifetime .227 ISO against right-handers (.183 vs. lefties) into a matchup with Giants righty Jeff Samardzija (4.00 ERA in 2016).
Kris Bryant: Hitting .305 with 35 homers, 89 RBIs and 109 runs across 579 plate appearances, the third baseman has been one of the most productive players in the Majors this season. From the heart of a Cubs lineup that ranks third with 666 runs scored, Bryant could post a substantial DraftKings total when he brings his balanced career splits into a matchup with Samardzija.
Addison Russell: The second-year shortstop will be poised to improve on his lifetime 100 wRC+ against right-handers (78 vs. lefties) when he tangles with Samardzija, who has posted a 5.13 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP across his past 12 starts.
Jason Heyward: Hitting .231 with six homers across 442 at-bats this season, the outfielder could have a reduced price tag in DraftKings contests when he brings his solid lifetime .812 OPS against right-handers (.654 vs. lefties) into a matchup with Samardzija (4.54 ERA since the outset of 2015). In his career, Samardzija has allowed left-handed hitters such as Heyward to post a .764 OPS (.676 OPS allowed to righty batters).
Alex Dickerson: The outfielder will be in great position to improve on his lifetime .783 OPS against right-handers (.635 vs. lefties) when he faces righty Mike Foltynewicz (career 4.98 ERA, 1.46 WHIP). Dickerson could also excel late in the game against a Braves bullpen that ranks 23rd in the Majors with a 4.26 ERA.
Travis Jankowski: With a lifetime .731 OPS against right-handers that exceeds his .477 mark vs. lefties, the outfielder has the skills to reach base often and score multiple runs when he …
