Garcia highlights 8 Marlins headed to Fall League

NEW YORK — The Marlins are sending a couple of power pitchers, including Jarlin Garcia and Jeff Brigham, to the Arizona Fall League.
Rosters for the Fall League were announced on Wednesday, and eight players and one coach will be part of the Mesa Solar Sox.
Pitchers representing the Marlins will be Garcia, Brigham and James Buckelew from Class A Advanced Jupiter, along with right-hander Drew Steckenrider from Triple-A New Orleans.
Third baseman Brian Anderson and outfielder Yefri Perez were selected from Double-A Jacksonville, along with outfielder Dexter Kjerstad from Jupiter and infielder Austin Nola from New Orleans, who is eligible to be active only on Wednesdays and Saturdays because he is a taxi-squad selection.
Paul Phillips, the hitting coach for New Orleans, will serve as the Solar Sox’s hitting coach.
