O’Neill heads 8 Mariners on AFL roster

ARLINGTON — Tyler O’Neill, a 21-year-old outfielder who was named the Southern League’s Most Valuable Player on Wednesday for Double-A Jackson, was among eight Mariners prospects selected to compete in the Arizona Fall League this offseason.
Other Mariners chosen for the Peoria Javelinas squad were pitchers Dan Altavilla, Luiz Gohara, Emilio Pagan and Dylan Unsworth, catcher Tyler Marlette, infielder Drew Jackson and outfielder Guillermo Heredia.
