Wings Encounter: Dennis Cholowski

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — The Red Wings made Dennis Cholowski their first-round draft pick this past June.
Cholowski, a younger-than-he-looks 18 years old, is a smooth-skating defenseman who is trying to get a little bit bigger and a little more physical as he gets older.
Cholowski was smaller as a kid but is now 6-foot-1, 177 pounds.
For now, Cholowski plans to play at St. Cloud State to continue his development.
Cholowski showed off his skating during development camp. Although the camp was for education, many of the Wings’ front office staff were impressed.
During camp, Cholowski took a few minutes to share a little more of his personality with DetroitRedWings.com.
