D-backs give Godley chance to rebound in bullpen

SAN FRANCISCO — D-backs right-hander Zack Godley showed promise in nine appearances last year, accumulating a 5-1 record with a 3.19 ERA. He hasn’t been able to duplicate that success this year.
The D-backs aren’t losing faith in Godley, who won three of his first four decisions since being recalled for a start on June 11, even as his ERA has continued to climb.
Godley, who returned to the bullpen when Shelby Miller was recalled from Triple-A Reno to make Wednesday’s start against the Giants, really only made two rough starts. They just happened to be in his last two …
