Dodgers unsure about nightcap starter

DENVER — The state of the Dodgers’ starting pitching is so unclear that on Wednesday morning, manager Dave Roberts wasn’t sure who would be starting Wednesday night’s doubleheader nightcap against the Rockies.
Roberts conceded the club is concerned with the condition of scheduled starter Rich Hill’s middle finger, which sidelined him for two months because of two blisters. Hill threw 40 warm-up pitches before his scheduled start Tuesday night was rained out, and nobody knows if the finger can bounce back in 24 hours for a full start.
Hill tested the finger playing catch before Game 1, very unusual for a pitcher scheduled to start that night. If Hill is scratched, the most likely replacement is Bud Norris, although the Dodgers have wiggle room for roster manipulation because they are …
