Phillipe Nover: ‘I think Barao is really a 135’er and he just doesn’t want to cut the weight’

TUF 8 runner-up and New York City registered nurse, Phillipe Nover, is set for the biggest fight of his professional MMA career, as he is slated to tangle with the former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao at UFC Fight Night 95 on September 24, 2016. Bloody Elbow’s Eddie Mercado caught up with the dual professional Nover to discuss balancing his two careers and find out about his thoughts on Barao.

Along with being a UFC fighter, Phillipe Nover is also a fulltime registered nurse in New York City:
“I’m a full time registered nurse; I’m certified in cardiac cath. I work in a pretty intense environment. I assist interventional cardiologists. We put stents in people’s hearts. I do that full time and along with that I’m training everyday. Before work, after work, during work I’m always training so I have no excuses. I’m always grinding, man.”
