George ordered out of Melbourne

Order Of St George is unlikely to take his chance in the Emirates Melbourne Cup after being allocated joint-top-weight in the Caulfield Cup alongside Highland Reel.
The Ascot Gold Cup winner, who is unbeaten in his last six starts, is jointly owned by Lloyd Williams who has tasted Cup success at Flemington on four occasions.
Historically, the weights for the Caulfield Cup and the Melbourne Cup vary very little and Williams was not impressed when the handicap for the former contest was published on Wednesday with his four-year-old at the top of the list.
“I don’t think Gold Cup and Irish St Leger form is worth 58 kilograms,” Williams told www.racing.com.
