Ranaudo, Robertson pitching in for Louisiana
- Updated: August 30, 2016
Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association announced Tuesday that they are donating $250,000 to assist victims of recent floods in Louisiana. A number of MLB players with Louisiana roots have stepped in to help with the recovery, including White Sox pitcher Anthony Ranaudo, who pitched three seasons at Louisiana State University.
Parts of Louisiana are recovering from strong rains earlier in August that left parts of the state under water.
Ranaudo and a handful of other players helped determine that the American Red Cross would receive $125,000 to help with the relief, while the Baton Rouge Area Foundation and High Socks for Hope would each receive $62,500.
Thank you everyone who has donated so far at https://t.co/T9vR1bD6if …
